The bright Texas sun streamed through the tall arched windows of the luxury house foyer in Dallas, shining over pristine white marble floors and polished mahogany trim.
Standing in front of the grand staircase, ten-year-old Leo held a small glass medical syringe in his hand, his bow tie neat and his vest perfectly pressed.
Leo: THAT'S NOT A BABY!
Across the foyer, Amanda paused near the staircase landing, clutching her swollen belly under her expensive dark satin dress.
Amanda: What did you just say to me, you little brat?
Leo: You heard me. I know what you're hiding under that dress.
Amanda: YOU LIAR!
Amanda charged down the remaining marble steps, her high heels clicking loudly against the white stone floor as her eyes burned with rage.
Amanda: How dare you speak to me like that in front of our guests!
Before she could take another step, Richard, a wealthy Dallas businessman in a sharp black suit, rushed out from the formal dining room.
Richard: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
With a furious yell, Richard stepped directly between them and brought his hand down hard, slapping Amanda across the face.
The loud strike echoed through the tall foyer, sending Amanda staggering back against the mahogany handrail.
Amanda: Richard! You hit me?! In front of everyone?!
Richard: You screamed at my son on the day of my late wife's memorial dinner!
Leo raised his small hand, pointing straight up at the ceiling where a black dome security camera sat mounted on the pristine white wall, its red recording light blinking softly.
Leo: LOOK AT THE SCREEN! SHE STOLE IT IN NEW YORK!
Leo pulled his smartphone from his vest pocket, tapping the screen to project a crisp video feed onto the large wall monitor above the entryway.
The video clearly showed Amanda inside a New York jewelry vault, slipping a sparkling multi-million-dollar diamond necklace into a hidden pouch lining her dress.
Amanda: NO! CALL 911!
Amanda collapsed onto the black-and-white checkered floor, screaming hysterically as the entire room watched her fake pregnancy collapse before their eyes.
