Brandon: You can't fire me! I own fifteen percent of this company!
Mr. Harrison: Actually, Brandon, according to section four of the corporate bylaws, any executive convicted of grand larceny forfeits their stock equity to pay restitution to the firm.
Brandon: I haven't been convicted of anything!
Chloe: Not yet. But the federal prosecutor is waiting outside in the lobby.
Brandon's eyes went wide as two men in dark suits stepped into the boardroom, flashing official identification credentials.
Federal Agent: Brandon Montgomery? I am Agent Vance with the Financial Crimes Division.
Brandon: What is the meaning of this?! This is a corporate disagreement!
Federal Agent: Wire fraud and corporate embezzlement are federal offenses, sir. You have the right to remain silent.
Brandon: Aunt Martha, do something! Call our legal defense team!
Aunt Martha: The family legal team represents the company, Brandon. Not criminal thieves.
The agent stepped forward, pulling Brandon's arms behind his back and clicking heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.
Brandon: Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am?!
Federal Agent: Watch your head, sir.
Brandon: Chloe, you bitch! You planned this whole thing!
Chloe: You brought a plate of food to a business war, Brandon. That was your first mistake.
Brandon: I'll ruin you! When I get out, I'll take everything you have!
Chloe: You won't be getting out for a very long time, Brandon. Four million dollars carries a mandatory minimum sentence of fifteen years.
The agents led a screaming, struggling Brandon out of the boardroom, his shoes dragging against the marble floor as the door shut behind him.
The room remained dead silent for several seconds before Aunt Martha turned to look at Chloe.
Aunt Martha: You knew about the offshore accounts before yesterday, didn't you?
Chloe: I've known for two weeks, Martha.
Aunt Martha: Why didn't you bring this to us privately?
Chloe: Because Brandon needed to show everyone who he truly was. Yesterday at the dining table, he proved it to the whole family.
Claire: He was arrogant, Chloe. He thought he was untouchable because of Dad's legacy.
Chloe: David built this company on honesty and hard work. Brandon was destroying it from the inside out.
Uncle Richard: So... who takes over the vice presidency now?
Mr. Harrison: As the majority voting bloc holder, Chloe has nominated herself to step in as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is selected.
Board Member 1: I support her nomination. She saved us from a massive federal scandal.
Board Member 2: Agreed. She showed remarkable composure and strength.
Aunt Martha: Welcome to the executive chair, Chloe. Your husband would be proud of you.
Chloe: Thank you, Martha. Now, let's get down to business and clean up this company.
