The Breaking Point

The heavy tension on the basketball court drew a tight circle of curious parents and whispering students.

Jessica: You are going to look my sister in the eye and apologize right this second.

Samantha: Apologize to a clumsy brat? I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Jessica: You think your wealth and school board title make you untouchable, don't you?

Samantha: They certainly keep people like you from dictating terms to me.

Jessica: Wealth doesn't buy character, Samantha. It just makes your ugly personality more obvious.

Samantha: I have had quite enough of your working-class attitude for one afternoon.

The blonde woman suddenly slaps the woman in the green jacket, igniting a fight.

SFX: Loud slap, scuffle

Jessica: (Gasping) You actually hit me?!

Samantha: That's what you get for running your mouth to your social superiors!

Jessica stumbled back half a step, her cheek burning fiercely from the sudden, unprovoked strike.

The crowd of parents gasped in unison, stepping back as the two women locked eyes in pure fury.

Naomi: Don't hurt my sister! Leave her alone!

Jessica: (Wiping her lip) Oh, you made a massive mistake crossing the line today.

Samantha: What are you going to do about it? Call your divorce lawyer? File a petty lawsuit?

Jessica rolled up the sleeves of her green jacket, her eyes narrowing with absolute determination.

Can Jessica teach this arrogant bully a lesson she will never forget in front of the whole school?
