Julian: You are making a massive mistake, Clara.
Clara: My only mistake was letting you into my company.
Julian: She is going to bleed you dry. She is going to steal your luxury cars and your penthouse.
Mia: I don't want any of those things.
Julian: Oh, please. Every peasant wants to be a billionaire.
Mia: I just wanted to know where I came from. I wanted to know my family.
Julian: Pathetic.
Two massive security guards walked into the boardroom, standing behind Julian.
Guard: Sir, we need you to hand over your keycard.
Julian: Don't touch me! I know the way to the elevator.
Guard: Your desk is being packed into a cardboard box as we speak.
Julian: I am going to call my lawyers. You will hear from me!
Julian stormed out of the boardroom, his arrogant posture completely broken.
The heavy glass doors slid shut, leaving the room quiet once again.
Clara: I am so sorry you had to see that, Mia.
Mia: Is everyone with money that angry?
Clara: Only the ones who never earned it.
Arthur: Madam, the DNA clinic is ready for us across the street.
Clara: We will go right now. But I don't need a piece of paper to tell me the truth.
Mia: You really believe I am your daughter?
Clara: I have prayed every single night for eighteen years that I would see that locket again.
Mia: I used to hold it when I was scared in the foster homes.
Clara: You will never be in a foster home again.
Mia: Where will I go?
Clara: You are coming home with me. To our family estate.
Mia: But I don't know how to act like a billionaire's daughter.
Clara: You don't have to act like anything. You just have to be my Mia.
Arthur: The trust fund will be completely transferred to your name by Friday, Miss Mia.
Mia: I don't even know what a trust fund is.
Clara: We have plenty of time to learn everything.
Clara stepped forward and wrapped her arms tightly around the girl in the rustic jacket.
Mia hesitated for a second, then hugged the wealthy CEO back, burying her face in Clara's shoulder.
Mia: Thank you.
Clara: No, my sweet girl. Thank you for finding your way back to me.
