The Cops Block the Doors

The Ruined Face At The Altar banner

Bride: You're bluffing! You don't have the power to lock down this venue!

Clara: I don't need power, Victoria. I have the warrant.

The heavy black doors at the back of the hall slammed open once again, and four uniformed police officers marched inside, accompanied by two federal agents in dark suits.

Federal Agent: Victoria Sterling? Stand right where you are.

Bride: Get out of here! This is a private wedding at the Grand Palace Hotel!

Federal Agent: You are under arrest for attempted murder, grand larceny, wire fraud, and falsification of legal trust documents.

Bride: Dad! Do something! Call our corporate attorney right now!

Victoria's father, standing in the front row in his expensive tailcoat, slowly looked down at the floor, refusing to make eye contact with his daughter.

Bride's Father: I told you not to go through with this, Victoria. I told you the truth always comes out.

Bride: Dad! You were in on it too! You signed the tax papers!

Bride's Father: Shut your mouth, Victoria!

Federal Agent: Richard Sterling, you are also under arrest as an accessory to corporate fraud and conspiracy.

The second officer stepped forward, grabbing Victoria's arm and pulling it behind her lace gown as the cold metal handcuffs clicked loudly into place around her wrists.

Bride: Let go of me! Julian! Tell them to stop! I did this for us! I wanted us to own the whole company together!

Julian: Don't ever say my name again, Victoria. You are a monster.

Bride: You loved me, Julian! We were about to say our vows!

Julian: I loved the fake woman you pretended to be. I hate everything about who you really are.

The officers dragged Victoria down the long center aisle, her heavy veil tearing against the wooden pews as she screamed and kicked, her high heels scraping loudly against the marble floor.

Bride: Clara! You ruined my life! I'll kill you when I get out! I'll kill you!

Clara: You won't be getting out for a very long time, Victoria. Enjoy the cell.
