The Security Camera Truth

Victoria: This isn't over, Richard. You haven't heard the last of my lawyers.

Richard: Your lawyers can talk to the judge from a holding cell.

A close-up static shot revealed the maroon-dressed woman clutching her cheek in shock and cries, shouting defensively.

Victoria: She attacked me!

Richard: Stop screaming lies into an empty room.

A close-up static view captured a white ceiling security camera flashing its red recording light as the American flag remained visible in the elegant background.

A sharp electronic beep signaled the active transmission of data to the master server.

Victoria: No... the feed was supposed to be offline...

Richard: The backup system runs on an independent cellular grid, Victoria.

Victoria: You planned this... you set this trap for me!

Richard: I simply installed security to keep my family safe from predators.

Heavy boots stomped across the front porch as armed federal agents and local police flooded through the open double doors.

Police Officer: Richard Sterling? We have a warrant for Victoria's arrest.

Richard: Right over there, officer. She just assaulted my pregnant wife.

Victoria: Don't touch me! Do you know who my father is?

Police Officer: Your father's estate was seized twenty minutes ago. Hands behind your back.

The cold steel cuffs clicked into place around Victoria's wrists, cutting off her frantic protests once and for all.

Richard rushed back to Clara's side, lifting her gently into his arms as the medical team finally pushed their stretcher through the door.

Clara: Is it really over, Richard?

Richard: It's over, my love. We're finally safe.

As the red and blue emergency lights flashed against the waving American flag outside, peace finally returned to the Sterling household.
