Victoria: No, no, no... this can't be happening!
Victoria frantically pushed open the heavy glass doors, running back into the grand marble lobby of the auditorium.
The performance had just ended, and crowd members were pouring out of the main doors, chatting animatedly about the incredible young singer.
Guest 1: That young girl has the voice of an angel. She's going to be a world-class star.
Guest 2: Did you see how Richard Sterling stood up for her? It was inspiring!
Guest 3: That arrogant blonde woman got exactly what she deserved. How embarrassing for her family.
Victoria pushed past the guests, ignoring their sharp glares as she searched the lobby for Richard Sterling.
She spotted him standing near the central marble fountain, holding Maya's hand gently while surrounding reporters snapped photographs.
Victoria: Mr. Sterling! Mr. Sterling, please!
Richard turned his head slowly, his warm smile instantly vanishing as he saw Victoria rushing toward him.
Two security guards immediately stepped forward, blocking her path.
Security Officer: Step back, ma'am. You were asked to leave the premises.
Victoria: I just need thirty seconds! Mr. Sterling, please hear me out!
Billionaire CEO Richard: Let her speak, officers. I want to see how much deeper she can dig her own grave.
The guards stepped aside slightly, though their hands remained on their belts.
Victoria: Mr. Sterling... I am so, so sorry! I had no idea this young lady was your granddaughter!
Billionaire CEO Richard: So if she wasn't my granddaughter, it would have been acceptable to bully her?
Victoria: No! That's not what I meant! I was just... I was having a bad day, and I made a stupid comment!
Billionaire CEO Richard: A bad day does not justify cruelty toward a child, Miss Vance.
Victoria: Please, Mr. Sterling! My father told me you canceled the fifty-million-dollar development deal! That contract is going to ruin our company if it falls through!
Billionaire CEO Richard: Your father should have taught you basic human respect before giving you a VIP seat in my auditorium.
Victoria: I'll apologize to her! I'll get down on my knees right now and apologize to Maya!
Victoria dropped to her knees on the polished marble floor, looking up at the ten-year-old girl with desperate, tear-filled eyes.
Victoria: I'm sorry, Maya! You have a beautiful voice! You're an incredible singer! Please tell your grandfather to forgive me!
Maya looked down at the woman who had mocked her dress and laughed at her tears just twenty minutes earlier.
She squeezed her grandfather's hand, stepping forward with quiet dignity.
Maya: I forgive you for making fun of me.
Victoria gasped with relief, a hopeful smile breaking across her face.
Victoria: Thank you! Oh, thank you so much, sweetie!
Maya: But my grandfather shouldn't do business with people who are mean to others when they think no one is watching.
Victoria's smile instantly shattered into pieces.
Billionaire CEO Richard: Out of the mouths of babes. You heard my granddaughter, Miss Vance. My decision stands.
Victoria: Mr. Sterling, please! You can't do this to my family!
Billionaire CEO Richard: Officers, remove this woman from my building permanently. If she sets foot on Sterling property again, have her arrested for trespassing.
The two officers grabbed Victoria by her arms, lifting her off the floor as she began to sob hysterically.
Victoria: No! Let me go! Please, Mr. Sterling! Think about my father!
The reporters' flashbulbs went off rapidly, capturing every single second of Victoria's pathetic, desperate breakdown as she was dragged out through the front doors.
