Julian: Victoria, please stop! Just give me five minutes to explain!
Julian pulled his robe tight, running down the grand spiral staircase behind Victoria, water dripping onto the hardwood steps.
Evelyn: Julian! Stay right where you are!
Julian: Mom, stay out of this! Victoria, you signed a prenuptial agreement ten years ago! You get nothing if you leave me!
Victoria stopped at the bottom of the staircase, slowly turning around to face him with a calm smile.
Victoria: Did you actually read that prenup, Julian? Or did your father's lawyers just hand it to you?
Julian: I know what it says! It protects all Vance family assets from outside spouses!
Victoria: Section Twelve, Paragraph Four, Julian. Infidelity clause.
Julian's face went completely pale. He swallowed hard, looking up at his mother as she descended the stairs behind him.
Julian: What... what infidelity clause?
Evelyn: Your father insisted on that clause, you idiot. He knew what kind of irresponsible man you were turning into.
Victoria: If either spouse commits adultery during the marriage, the cheating party forfeits all rights to marital property, including trust fund dividends and joint real estate.
Julian: No... no, that's impossible! That prenup was supposed to protect ME!
Victoria: It protects the faithful partner, Julian. And thanks to the high-definition cameras in the master suite and the witnesses standing upstairs, my legal team has all the evidence they need.
Uncle Arthur: She's right, Julian. I signed as a witness on that contract ten years ago.
Julian: Uncle Arthur! You're my uncle! You're supposed to take my side!
Uncle Arthur: I take the side of integrity and the family name. You've acted like a spoiled child for years.
Julian: Victoria, you can't take this house! My grandfather built this mansion!
Victoria: I don't want this house, Julian. It smells like your lies. But I will be taking fifty percent of your shares in Vance Financial Group.
Julian: FIFTY PERCENT?! That would give you control over the voting board!
Evelyn: And I will vote alongside her, Julian.
Julian spun around, staring at his mother in absolute horror.
Julian: Mom?! You would side with my wife against your own flesh and blood?!
Evelyn: Victoria has managed the family foundation for five years while you spent your afternoons on luxury yachts with young women!
Julian: I worked hard for this company!
Evelyn: You took two-hour lunches and signed off on bad investments! Victoria saved this family's public image while you tried to tear it down!
Victoria: The library is ready, Evelyn. My attorney, Mr. Harrison, has the paperwork drawn up.
Julian: I'm not signing anything! I'll hire the best trial lawyers in Texas!
Victoria: You can try, Julian. But you might want to check your bank accounts first.
