Sarah: Put your phone away and pack your bags.
Elena: Look at the screen, Sarah. Just look at it.
Sarah: I don't want to see whatever crazy conspiracy you have filmed.
Elena: It is the baby monitor footage from ten minutes ago.
Sarah: I didn't leave a bottle in here ten minutes ago.
Elena: I know you didn't. But someone else was in here.
Sarah snatched the phone from the maid's shaking hands. She looked down at the bright screen.
Sarah: This is the kitchen camera, not the nursery.
Elena: Yes. Watch the counter near the refrigerator.
Sarah: Is that Margaret?
Elena: Your mother-in-law. Yes.
Sarah: Why is she holding Lily's bottle?
Elena: Keep watching. Watch her right hand.
The grainy video played. Margaret looked over her shoulder, then pulled a small vial from her designer purse.
Sarah: What is that? Liquid vitamins?
Elena: She wouldn't be hiding vitamins, ma'am.
Sarah: She is pouring it directly into the formula.
Elena: A lot of it.
Sarah: Maybe it is medicine. Maybe my husband asked her to give Lily some medicine.
Elena: Mr. Davis is in Chicago on a business trip. He doesn't even know Margaret is visiting today.
Sarah: This makes no sense. Why would she mess with the milk?
Elena: I smelled it before I ran upstairs. It smells like sweet chemicals.
Sarah: Antifreeze?
Elena: I don't know for sure. But I couldn't let you feed it to the baby.
Sarah's heart began to pound against her ribs. The confusion on her face melted into absolute horror.
Sarah: She... she poisoned the milk.
Elena: Your grandmother poisoned the milk.
Sarah: No. No, that is impossible.
Elena: The video doesn't lie, Sarah. She tried to hurt Lily.
Sarah: But she is her own flesh and blood. She is her grandmother!
Elena: Some people care more about money than blood.
Sarah: Money? What does this have to do with money?
Elena: I heard her on the phone with her divorce lawyer yesterday.
Sarah: Margaret is divorced. She has been for ten years.
Elena: She was talking about the family business. And the new trust fund.
A heavy footstep creaked on the floorboards just outside the nursery room door.
Margaret: Is everything alright in here?
Sarah spun around furiously. Margaret stood in the doorway, wearing a pristine white suit and pearls.
Sarah: Stay right there.
Margaret: I heard a loud crash. Did the clumsy maid break something again?
Sarah: How could you do this to your own grandchild?!
