Ethan: Clara, take Leo upstairs to his room right now.
Clara: Yes, Mr. Sterling. Come here, sweetheart.
Leo: Daddy... hurts...
Ethan: Daddy's here, buddy. Go with Clara. I'll be right up.
Clara carried the trembling boy up the grand marble staircase, checking his elbow for bruises.
Ethan turned his ice-cold gaze back down at Victoria, who was still gasping on the floor.
Victoria: You hit me, Ethan! You actually struck your own fiancée!
Ethan: You pushed a sixteen-month-old child off a piano stool onto a hard floor!
Victoria: He was smearing sticky jam all over the custom grand piano!
Ethan: I don't care if he was burning the piano to the ground! He is a baby!
Victoria: You are completely overreacting! I just nudged him away!
Ethan: I stood in that doorway for ten seconds before you even noticed me, Victoria.
Victoria: What?
Ethan: I watched you look him in the eye, raise your hand, and shove him with full force.
Victoria pressed her hand against her red, swollen cheek, her eyes darting around the room looking for an excuse.
Victoria: I've been under so much stress lately with the wedding planning!
Ethan: Do not blame your sick cruelty on a wedding that is never going to happen.
Victoria: What are you saying, Ethan? We're getting married in three weeks!
Ethan: The wedding is canceled. Get your things and leave my house.
Victoria: You can't cancel the wedding! The venue, the invitations, the press—
Ethan: I don't give a damn about the press, Victoria!
Victoria: My father invested millions into your real estate firm last month!
Ethan: And I will personally wire every single cent back to his trust account by five o'clock today.
Victoria: Ethan, please! Think about our family's reputation in Dallas!
Ethan: My son's safety is the only thing that matters in this house.
Victoria: He's not even whole without a mother! I was trying to discipline him!
Ethan: He had a mother who loved him before she passed away last year.
Victoria: Well, she's gone! And you need a wife to run this estate!
Ethan: I would rather live in this mansion completely alone for the rest of my life than let a monster like you near my child.
Victoria: You're making a massive financial mistake, Ethan!
Ethan: The only mistake I made was letting you step foot inside my home.
Victoria slowly pulled herself up off the floor, smoothing out her wrinkled blue satin gown.
Victoria: You'll regret this. My father will ruin your firm's merger by tomorrow morning.
Ethan: Tell your father to try his worst. Now get out before I have security throw you onto the street.
Victoria: I'm leaving! But don't you dare come crawling back when you realize you can't raise that brat alone!
Ethan didn't respond as Victoria grabbed her designer handbag and stormed out the massive double doors, slamming them behind her so hard the crystal chandelier rattled overhead.
