Tyler: What did you say about my board of directors?!
Mr. Harrison: Since Marcus Sterling holds sixty percent of your company's voting shares, he has called an emergency session at headquarters.
Tyler: My board will never vote against me! I founded Vance Logistics!
Mr. Harrison: You founded it with Chloe Sterling's money. And your board members prefer to keep their jobs rather than go down with a sinking ship.
Tyler ran down the steps toward his sports car, ignoring Tiffany as she frantically threw her bags into her convertible.
Tiffany: Tyler, give me my credit card back! It declined at the boutique this morning!
Tyler: Get out of my face, Tiffany! I'm going to my office!
Tyler jumped into his black luxury sedan, slamming his foot onto the gas pedal. The engine roared as he sped down the long driveway, heading straight toward downtown Dallas.
Thirty minutes later, Tyler ran through the glass doors of the Vance Logistics tower. The lobby was quiet, and the receptionist looked at him with pity.
Tyler: Sarah! Where is the board meeting being held?!
Sarah: Conference Room A, Mr. Vance. But Mr. Sterling said you weren't allowed inside without a legal representative.
Tyler: I own this building! Nobody tells me where I can walk!
Tyler shoved open the heavy oak doors of Conference Room A. Eight board members sat around a long glass table, with Marcus Sterling sitting at the head of the room.
Tyler: What is the meaning of this?! Arthur, tell him he can't do this!
Arthur: Sit down, Tyler. You've brought catastrophic shame upon this firm.
Tyler: Shame?! My personal life has nothing to do with this company's operations!
Arthur: It does when your personal life causes our primary investor to liquidate forty million dollars in credit lines in a single morning.
Tyler: I can replace that capital! Give me thirty days!
Marcus Sterling: You don't have thirty seconds, Tyler. Look at the screen behind you.
Tyler turned around, staring at the large wall monitor. A financial news ticker read: Vance Logistics Shares Drop 45% Following CEO Scandal.
Tyler: How did the press find out about this already?!
Marcus Sterling: When a billionaire's daughter is thrown out of her home, people talk. The market does not like dishonorable men, Tyler.
Arthur: The board has conducted a formal vote. Resolution 402 has passed unanimously.
Tyler: Resolution 402? What is that?!
Arthur: You are hereby terminated as CEO of Vance Logistics, effective immediately. Your equity shares have been impounded to satisfy outstanding debts to Sterling Enterprise Holdings.
Tyler: You can't fire me from my own company!
Marcus Sterling: It was never your company, Tyler. You were just a caretaker who forgot who gave him the key.
