Julian: Thomas! Call an ambulance right now!
Thomas: Already on the line with 911, Mr. Sterling! The paramedics are five minutes away!
Clara: Julian... my hands... there's so much glass...
Julian: Shh, don't look at your hands, sweetie. Keep your eyes on me.
Julian carefully wrapped his navy suit jacket around Clara's shoulders, lifting her head off the cold stone tile.
Out on the patio, Evelyn scrambled out of the pool, her wet beige dress sticking to her skin as she coughed and choked on water.
Evelyn: Julian! You could have killed me!
Julian: Stay out there, Evelyn! If you step foot back in this hallway, I swear to God I won't just kick you into the pool!
Evelyn: She provoked me! She threatened to take my share of the estate!
Clara: I never... I never asked for your money, Evelyn...
Julian: Clara, save your strength. Don't speak to her.
Evelyn: She's a liar, Julian! She came into this house as your assistant and tricked you into marrying her!
Julian: I married her because I love her, Evelyn! Something you know nothing about!
Evelyn: Your father left me in charge of this mansion!
Julian: My father left you a living allowance! The deed to this house belongs to my trust fund!
Thomas rushed back into the hallway holding a clean blanket and a first-aid kit.
Thomas: Sir, the paramedics are turning down the driveway right now.
Julian: Good. Go out front and lead them directly through the side patio doors.
Thomas: Yes, Mr. Sterling.
Evelyn pushed open the glass patio door, dripping water all over the floor as she took a tentative step inside.
Evelyn: Julian, please. Look at me. We are family!
Julian: Do not take another step toward my wife, Evelyn.
Evelyn: I was just trying to protect your father's memory! She wanted to sell his antique collection!
Clara: I was only... I was only moving the vase so it wouldn't get knocked over...
Julian: I know, Clara. I know you were.
Evelyn: She threw herself into that mirror to make me look like a monster!
Julian: I stood outside that glass door for thirty seconds, Evelyn. I saw you shove her with both hands.
Evelyn's mouth snapped shut, her eyes widening in sudden, total panic.
Evelyn: You... you saw?
Julian: I saw everything. I saw you push a pregnant woman into six feet of solid glass.
Evelyn: Julian, I lost my temper! It was an accident!
Julian: An accident is dropping a cup, Evelyn. What you did was attempted murder.
The loud wail of ambulance sirens echoed down the driveway, filling the house with flashing red lights.
Julian: The police are right behind them, Evelyn. You better start thinking about which lawyer you're going to call.
