The Eviction Execution

Evelyn: You can't evict me! Where am I supposed to go?!

Liam: You have a country house in Florida that you bought with your own savings. You can live there.

Evelyn: That house is tiny! It only has two bedrooms!

Liam: Then it should be very easy for you to keep clean without hiring a maid.

Clara stepped forward, untying the cloth apron from around her waist and laying it gently on the side table beside Evelyn's armchair.

Clara: You don't have to worry about me cleaning your mess anymore, Mrs. Vance.

Evelyn: Clara... please... talk to him. He's my son! You can't let him do this to me!

Clara: I am not doing anything to you, Mrs. Vance. You made your choices every single day when you chose to humiliate me.

Evelyn: I was wrong! I admit it! I was bitter and angry because your father left me, Liam!

Liam: My father left you because you treated him the exact same way you treated Clara. You tried to control every aspect of his life until he couldn't breathe.

Evelyn: That's not true! I loved your father!

Liam: You loved his money, Mom. Just like you loved the status this house gave you.

Two city police officers walked through the open front doors, holding clipboard documents in their hands.

Officer 1: Good afternoon. We received a call regarding an eviction enforcement and a trust fund dispute at this address.

Mr. Davis: Officers, I am the legal representative for the Vance Estate. Here are the court-ordered property transfer papers and the emergency eviction warrant.

Officer 1: Thank you, sir. Everything appears to be in order.

The officer walked over to Evelyn, who was sitting motionless in the leather chair, her face pale with humiliation.

Officer 1: Ma'am, you have thirty minutes to gather your personal clothing and exit the premises.

Evelyn: Thirty minutes?! That's impossible! I have decades of belongings upstairs!

Officer 2: A moving company can pack and ship your remaining furniture at a scheduled date, ma'am. But you must vacate the building now.

Evelyn looked at Liam, tears finally welling up in her eyes as her arrogant facade completely crumbled.

Evelyn: Liam... please... don't do this to your mother.

Liam: My mother died in my heart the moment she called my daughter a disgrace.

Evelyn slowly stood up from the chair, her hands trembling as she smoothed down her green dress, walking toward the grand staircase under the watchful eyes of the police officers.

Clara leaned against Liam's side, feeling his warm arm wrap around her waist as they watched Evelyn disappear up the stairs.

Clara: Do you think she will ever change, Liam?

Liam: Some people only change when they lose everything, Clara. But that's no longer our concern.

Clara: I want to go pick up Sophia from daycare now.

Liam: Let's go together, sweetheart. It's time our daughter saw her real home.
