Sarah: I told you she didn't belong here, David.
David: Sarah, please stop. You've done enough damage today.
Sarah: Damage? I saved this family from letting an outsider ruin our tradition.
David wiped frosting off his sleeve, his hand shaking uncontrollably.
David: You don't know what you just did, Sarah.
Sarah: Oh, please. She's just a school teacher with no money. She came here expecting our inheritance.
David looked around the messy room. Guests were standing up, whispering to each other near the doors.
David: Everyone, please leave. The dinner is over.
Sarah: Let them stay! Let them see that we don't tolerate gold diggers in this house.
David: Shut up, Sarah! Just shut up!
Sarah gasped, stepping back in shock.
Sarah: You've never raised your voice at me in your life!
David: Because I've spent five years protecting you from the truth, Sarah!
Sarah: What truth? Our father left this house and his business to us!
David looked at his shoes, his face pale and sunken.
David: He didn't leave it to us, Sarah.
Sarah: What are you talking about? His will was read three years ago in court!
David: That wasn't his real will.
Sarah laughed nervously, taking a step closer to her brother.
Sarah: That's not funny, David. You were the executor of the estate.
David: I know I was. And I buried the real document deep in the safe.
Sarah's smile completely vanished.
Sarah: What document?
David: The brown envelope Hannah had in her hand just now. That was Father's final legal trust.
Sarah looked toward the empty hallway where Hannah had walked out moments ago.
Sarah: Why would Hannah have Father's trust documents?
David: Because she isn't just my wife, Sarah. She's the primary beneficiary of his whole estate.
Sarah's eyes widened in horror.
Sarah: You're lying to me!
David: Father found out what you were doing with the company accounts before he died, Sarah.
Sarah: I didn't do anything wrong!
David: You took six hundred thousand dollars from the family charity fund and used it for your own luxury cars and vacations!
Sarah took a slow step back, her hands trembling.
Sarah: Father knew about that?
David: He knew every single detail. That's why he changed his will two weeks before his heart attack.
Sarah: He couldn't leave everything to her! She was only married to you for two years back then!
David: He didn't leave it to her for herself, Sarah. He left it to her in trust for Leo and Toby.
Sarah grabbed the edge of the dining table to steady herself.
Sarah: He left the mansion and the business trust to your children?
David: With Hannah as the sole executor until they turn twenty-five. Neither of us gets a single dollar without her approval.
