The Intruder in the Ballroom

Arthur: Charles! Get this kid out of my house right now!

Charles: Come here, boy. Let's go.

Leo: No! Let me go!

Charles: You shouldn't be in the main estate.

Arthur: Whose kid is this? Why is he in my ballroom?

Charles: He stays with the groundskeeper, sir. I apologize.

Arthur: Fire the groundskeeper. Tonight.

Eleanor: Arthur, stop it.

Arthur: He let a filthy child wander into our home while you are having a medical emergency!

Eleanor: Please, my stomach...

Eleanor doubled over, tears streaming down her pale cheeks.

Leo: She is freezing.

Arthur: How do you know that?

Leo: Look at her lips. They are turning blue.

Arthur: Don't look at my wife.

Leo: You are the CEO of that big company, right?

Arthur: That is none of your business.

Leo: All your money can't fix this.

Arthur: I have the best doctors in the world on standby.

Leo: They are too far away.

Charles: Sir, the ambulance is stuck in the mud near the lower driveway.

Arthur: Are you kidding me?

Charles: The rain from yesterday washed out the dirt road.

Arthur: Tell them to walk! Tell them to run!

Charles: I will relay the message, sir.

Arthur paced back and forth across the light oak wood floors, pulling at his collar.

Arthur: This can't be happening. Not today.

Eleanor: The pain is getting worse.

Arthur: Breathe, Eleanor. Just like the classes taught us.

Eleanor: It feels different than the classes.

Arthur: Just keep your eyes on me.

Leo: She needs to lay down.

Arthur: I told you to leave!

Leo: The chair is cutting off her circulation.

Arthur: You're just a kid. You don't know anything.

Leo: My mom had the same thing happen to her.

Arthur froze, looking down at the boy's dirt-streaked face.

Arthur: Where is your mother now?

Leo: She didn't have anyone to help her.

Arthur: Charles, please, just get him out of my sight.

Charles: Come along, son. You're upsetting the lady.

Leo: I'm not leaving her. She's going to lose the baby.
